What the rows count
Paste once. Each row uses that platform's post limit, plus the Instagram bio and the YouTube title. X is weighted: a link counts as 23, and emoji and CJK characters count as 2. The other rows count Unicode code points, one per letter or emoji.
The feed still folds a long caption before you hit the limit. Instagram's fold is near 125 characters, and LinkedIn's is about three lines. Those folds are not the limits in the bars.
